Question:

I'd like to ask an embarrassing question?

If you check my profile, you'll know I drink - however.

My teeth are literally falling apart now in huge chunks, and I blame it on the copious amounts of Coke, rather than the "Scotch", but what options do I have?

My gums are probably nacked, I've lost all my fillings, and at 42 3/4, I feel ready to be shot.

Any advice on dental surgery would be appreciated.

  1. your dentist would probably recommend the best care for your teeth rather than anyone on here so set up a check up.

  2. Look for a dental clinic. I've had some good work done there and they are mostly too polite to laugh at anyone who ruins good scotch by mixing it with Coke. Mostly.

  3. Ok well so you are aware it is not just the coke as booze turns into sugar in the system so the Scotch is just as much to blame..

My suggestion is to have them removed and if you can afford it have the implants put in otherwise your only other option it to have them yanked and get false teeth...

I am in the Medical Field

  4. Drink your scotch on the rocks

  5. Here's an interesting link that " might " be of some help.

Sorry to hear about your problems. I had two root canals and then my tooth still ended up breaking and falling out.

anyway, here's the link and good luck !

  6. Ummm.  No answer to your "teeth" issue in food and drink.  I suggest you have a drink.  You're gonna need it.

  7. There is no saving teeth that are falling apart. This is going to be a very expensive process. Hopefully you will learn a thing or two about personal hygeine.

  8. just go for the dentures baby.

  9. goodness.  try diet coke from now on!

in the meantime, get urself to a dentist and post this question in the dental section.

  10. Alcohol is a sugar and it is most likely what is messing up your teeth. If you have not kept up on your dental care up to now, the best option is going to be a painful one. It involves removing all your old teeth and getting fake ones. It is a very painful process but since you have so much wrong with your mouth, it is your best option at this point.

  11. Try living with somone with greenfingers....

  12. Looks like a straw is in your future. Cant do nothing about your height but i bet you are well endowed in other areas. Have those snags pulled and gum it for a while. Aint never been with a toothless man but that sounds nice.. No biting.. LOL

  13. hi i have a friend in the same situation as you her teeth were really bad because she never went to the dentist and didnt really look after her teeth and ended up in alot of pain, so i suggest you go to your dentist and ask there advice you may end up having to have some teeth removed my friend done it and feels much better about her self and now uses false teeth.

  14. You should have thought of that in the first place. Before your teeth started falling out en masse.

  15. quit drinking you r****d, that might help!

  16. May i suggest a clove with your scotch? It might numb the pain some more before you seek an alternative to the dentist. You might like to try annoying someone down your local pub. They can just knock your teeth out for free. Maybe as a cheap substitute for expensive dentures you could try Dracula fangs from a joke shop.Let me know how you get on.

  17. You don't need dental surgery you need to stop drinking. You blame it on the coke, which yeah is playing a factor, but alcohol is not any ebtter for your teeth! You need to stop, or at least cut down on these beverages. dental surgery will be great, but it won't last long if you don't change your habits. You'll go through all the pain and money to get your teeth fixed, just to wreck them again?

  18. go to a dentist    1 800 dentist

  19. you need fake teeth

  20. diet coke?

i could be ignorant here but i don't think that makes a difference.

  21. find yourself a good dentist and definitely a doctor.  if you drink so much soda that your teeth are falling apart, and drink enough alcohol that you think it might be the problem, you probably have a bad liver (alcohol) and bad kidneys (phosphoric acid in the soda).

any dentist will be able to give you the help you need, or at least refer you to somebody who can.  all you need to do is take the first step and make an appointment.

take better care of your body, please >.<

  22. u r going to have to get fake teeth unfortunnaly or discuss other options with your dentists

  23. If your teeth are completely rotting out, you'll probably have a few options including dentures ( =/ ) and implants. There are probably more options that I'm not aware of, so I'd definitely get to the dentist asap.

Of the two, I'd go for implants, but they are extremely expensive.
