I'd like to au-pair somewhere in the south of France 2009, could I find a job with only English? Any agencies?

The only comment I would make is that you need to prepare yourself not to be disappointed.  Families of course want to ensure that someone who lives in their house will fit perfectly and can look after their children.  The "norm" for this is a 18+ old young female.  Men do take jobs in the childcare industry but it is not common.

French families are very close-knit and the majority very traditional, so you may struggle to find a position.  If you have qualifications it will help a lot, so maybe you should also look at taking a childcare course in the meantime to boost your chances
