I'd like to come to Cork Ireland in January but I'm worried about the weather.?

January is the best time for me to travel but I don't know if it will still be beautiful then. Is that really a bad time, do I need to wait until april or even summer time??

You are right to be worried. January is the most miserable month in Ireland. It's cold, humid, with heavy cold rains and strong cold wind. Days are short, it's dark at 4.30 pm. Definitely DO NOT COME IN JANUARY!

who cares about the weather!! Ireland is soo good you won't notice that its always raining!! but yes summer is the best! then again we often get good weather in january!

best time to travel is august to september....weve had fabulous weather the last 2 weeks, but its never guaranteed...especially not in January, it will be very wet and cold

it'll b beautiful...just rainy, grey and miserable...i'd w8 until summer cz it only stopped rainin this week...gorgeous weather this week tho!!

The best time to visit is the Summer Time for Ireland as the problem is the rain.. You can be lucky in January and it can just be really cold and dry. But if I'm honest with you, even in the summer it can be cold and wet in Cork as it is near the coast so the weather is always a problem.

If I were you, I would go in January when the weather could still be good and it is the most convieniet time to go. There is lots to do in Cork, even if the weather isn't amazing.

It'll probably be cold, wet and miserable.  I'm from Cork and nobody likes being here in January!  It's straight from the house to the car to work and back again. The end of April, and most of May is usually the nicest time here because it's not crazy busy yet, and it's often sunny - it's been sunny all week here yippee!

It'll be cold and most likely wet.  You definitely have more of a chance of good weather in the summer, but if the weather doesn't bother you too much then you'll still have a good time if you come in January.
