I'd like to do some male modeling in college to bank some extra cash

Ive been told that i should really lookinto modeling and id like to try out the idea ecspecially if i can make some dough in the process. how do i go about starting a portfolio or even getting it out there without spending alot of cash like they want you to do when agencies come to the mall and stuff?

Don't pay any money to anyone. Go to the locally owned stores and ask who does their ad layouts.  Then go to that person.  The other models will be mad if you offer to work for free; but otherwise they are going to smile and not hire you.

Then run an ad for yourself in the local paper.  $500 and it's a giant photo of you.  You are selling yourself as a professional model.  Be specific in the jobs you seek.  Will you do the crummy weekend KMart ads wearing a $10 t-shirt? /
