I'd like to hear from teachers in Vancouver, Canada... Salaries?

Hi, is there anyone here who is a teacher in Vancouver who can tell me what your salary is like? I don't need to know a specific dollar amount ... since I don't know what the cost of living is there, a $$$ amount won't mean anything to me. I'm just wondering if you are fairly compensated for the work you do, relative to other professional salaries, and if you are able to afford a home in your area. Teachers here often have to rely on a spouse's salary. I'm a teacher in the U.S who may be moving to the Vancouver area in the future. I teach middle school (kids who are around 12 - 15 years old) and this is the level I'm asking about. Thanks very much.

Well, I'm not exactly a teacher. But I do go to school. And my biology teacher says that he gets paid 30$ and hour, and alot of my other teachers say that. But they don't get paid after hours. :\ Soooo about 180$ a day?
