So here's the deal. I'm backpacking in europe for 6 months, which also means I won't be in one country for longer than one month. I know that the Schengen zone allows only 90 days of travel in a 6 month period for a tourist like me, but I heard that if you have a roundtrip ticket, you do not need the Schengen Visa. I will be arriving in spain and leaving europe from England.

  1. it depends on what citizenship you have. refer to the internet for a listing of countries whose citizens require schengen visas to travel throughout the schengen countries in europe.

regarding the timing limitations i am not too sure about that.

  2. You will need a Schengen Visa, the unavoidable rules of the Schengen Area states that a person wanting to stay more than 90 days within 6 months needs a visa, so check in the embassy of your main destination, and if you dont have one, the one the country youll be entering the schengen zone, and tell them you situation. Good luck and have a great time in Europe ;)
