My boss has been putting gps devices in certain employees trucks. I don't know whether or not my truck has been targeted for such a device. Where are these devices typically located or hidden? Where should I look to find the gps? What's it look like? Thank you for your insight in this.

  1. Why does it matter.  Just make sure that you don't drive it anywhere it is not for work and you would be in the clear.

Basically the GPS can be anywhere.  It is the antenna that must have clear view of the open sky.  The GPS antenna is about 1 inch by 1 inch (square - not long).  I suspect it will be in the rear deck / rear dash.

    Good luck...

  2. so why not drive where you suppose to be... its not your truck to be joy riding in .... ive never look for the one that is in my truck... i dont care if its there or not.... i only drive where im told to go... so stop driving a round or parking on his time and money or best yet quit and dont worry about it at all

  3. The new antennas do not have to be exposed. My buddy installs gps units in company vehicles AT NIGHT so that employees don't know that they're watched. if a truck deviates from a shortest route or moves after a certain time(at night) the owners are alerted by phone and then can track from home. Big Brother is watching you. Do what's right.

  4. its usually put in a place where it is somewhat out of the elements outside.

  5. if you carry a nextel he can use that too

  6. If it's being done to other employee's vehicles, assume yours is done as well. No strip clubs on company time.

  7. Just do your job and use the company vehicle appropriately. It is their right to insure it's proper use.
