I have a printer paper bedroom.

it's 8.5 by 11 feet.

i have a computer desk, an end table, a shelf, a chest, a dresser, and a twin size bed.

my room always feel so cramped and like there's no room.

I'd like to make it seem bigger and open up some space, but i don't want to get rid of anything.

  1. my boys have a wall shelf between their 2 beds that acts as an end table and it's great.  also consider mirrored closet doors!

  2. Mirrors are the oldest trick to making a room look bigger. Also, avoid colors that draw attention to the walls - very dark or very vibrant. Muted colors make the walls seem more distant.

Finally, arrange your room in such a way that the center is as open as you can make it. Good luck!

  3. stack stuff on top of other stuff.

  4. Try to line your furniture against the walls so you have more floor space. Light colored walls make a room feel bigger and mirrors make space seem larger. Organize the items you have on the dresser, chest, and end table. Put the shelf in an offset spot rather than the middle of a wall. Clutter always makes a room feel small.

  5. Huge mirror maybe.

  6. Have you considered putting a mirror on your ceiling?

  7. light colours ,mirrors etc.

  8. One trick we always used in college was to turn your bed into a platform bed--build a sturdy frame of 2 x 4's high enough to clear your desk, dresser, or whatever else you want to put under it (but not so high you hit your head on the ceiling, then build a ladder along the end, by your feet.  That will add some real space.
