  1. I met a guy in his lat 60s or early 70's in Dewey Beach Delaware who was really into windsurfing, he is now into kite surfing (even has a bumper sticker that says, "Wind surfing has been cancelled", I think because he is so into the kite surfing now).  I think he taught himself (he said it's easier thay wind surfing), but he is hooked in with the people who run the place that gives lessons there.  I looked into it and determined that it would be hard for me (I'm not very coordinated, plus I think keeping the lines untangled would drive me nuts, so I just go to where they do it and watch from my kayak).

On the East Coast there are place in Dewey Beach, DE, Kitty Hawk, NC, Atlantic City, NJ and Fort Lauderdale, FL probably a lot more.  If you aren't near those places, at least look at their web pages:

    Kitty Hawk Kites:

    Dewe Beach, DE:

    http://www.h2air.com/

    Fort Lauderdale:

I'm not sure of the place in Atlantic City.

Good luck and have fun, I'm sure you can do it. Just make sure it is a safe place without power lines, bridges or a lot of boat traffic.

  2. Buy a kite?

  3. Wait for a windy day.

  4. I would serch the web for some areas that do that where you live.

Im very jealous by the way :)
