what do you want to do? Stay in the city, go to a resort with beach, visit the rainforest?  Deluxe or moderate?

if you want to stay in San Juan..i like the Embassy Suites - always good price - 1block from beach - 15minutes from airport - just got a huge remodel

It depends on your budget. Economic, good great place Embassy suites Isla Verde, a whole boulevard of stores, places to eat, night life and great beach day time. Expensive in the same area, GREAT, Ritz Carlton. More history, right in old San Juan in front of ships. Calm but beachy, El Conquistador, beach and mountains. Horse back riding, Fajardo..
