  1. Could be hemorrhoids.  Let's hope that is all it is.  Good luck

  2. Blood in the stool can be caused by hemorrhoids, polyps, inflammatory bowel disease, diverticulosis, strictures or a neoplasm. Sharp pain with a bm points to a rectal cause for the bleeding ( ?hemorrhoids). Bright red blood usually originates in the a**s or r****m. Dark or black stool comes from further up in the g.i. system, even the stomach. You made the right decision about going to the doctor. You may need a colonoscopy to clarify this situation.

  3. If it's red blood, it means your diet is too low in fiber or you get insufficient exercise or too little water, and you have hemorrhoids.  If it is blackish blood, it could indicate something "further up".

It's not at all uncommon to have such problems, and going to the doctor is the smartest move...

  4. you could have a form of  ibs  such as  chrones  or  colitis   the doc will test  you  and  let you know for sure

  5. hopefully its hemorrhoids, the best thing to do is to go see a doctor, you've made the right decision. there are some rare infections of the colon (colitis) that can occur, but i'm pretty sure it's hems.

    best of luck!
