I'll miss all county orchestra auditions while I'm on vacation? HELP!!?

I'll be on vacation during all county orchestra auditions and I'm really good (one of the best in the county), but I'll be in mexico during the audition. They can't be re-scheduled too.

All my music teachers want me to audition because of my talent but I'll miss it! I was crying earlier and I only do that a few times a year.

I may get my grandma to watch me but I don't think my parents will let my do that. Help!!!

If you are saying your going on vacation with parents then you need to tell them you would rather stay and do the audition.  Ask anyone that they would approve of letting you stay with them.  Tell them they can check in on you.  But you really want this chance and get your teachers to write them a note and tell them how talented you are. First, consult with your grandma and make sure it's okay to stay with her...Second, sit your mom down by herself and tell her how passionate you are about this.  If she says "no", just be calm and try to explain to her how you feel.  Let her know that this is your dream, and that you don't expect her to understand completely how you feel, but she needs to believe what is in your heart.  You can tell her that you went to Yahoo Answers for advice and show her what you wrote.  If you can get your mom to see what you see, then maybe she can talk it over with your dad...Also, maybe you can ask your music teachers to talk to your parents and let them know that this is a very valuable opportunity for you.

...I can see just by reading this that this is extremely important for your future career as a musician.  It touches my heart to see a young person willing to give up a vacation for his dream...Your parents must be very proud of you.
