  1. I suggest you go to Venice and see the Grand Canal, St Marks, Doge Palace, Murano (island where the glassworks are)

Florence - duomo, the David in the Academy, the Ponte Vecchio (Old Bridge) and eat lots of gelato

Rome - Colosseum, Vatican, Villa Borghese, Pantheon etc

But you simply should not miss Pompeii, and allow at least half a day to walk through the excavations (gli scavi).

  2. hi i'm italian!!and i can help you!!well in italy there are a lot of places to visit..you can go to milan that's a big city but ther's e lot of smog, rome is really really bautiful and you can't visit it in only one day!!(think!i have never visited all rome!!!it's too much big!!)then venice is so famous cause it's very romantic but it's very expansive!!than napoli, verona, genova..there are a lot of cities!!! sicilia and sardegna too!! so i hope thath you'll have fun!!goog flight!!

  3. Milan is worth a brief visit but if you've just landed and have baggage then it's gonna be tough. Make your way to the Central train Station in Milan from Malpensa then take the train to Venice as already mentioned (why can't you fly into Venice instead... it may cost a bit more but it's worth the price to avoid the hassle of the commute).

Stay in Mestre, just outside of Venice and you'll save 50 to 100 Euro a night on your hotel costs. From Venice make your way to Florence (this already suggested) and then to Rome.

Rome is certainly much much bigger than Venice but it's easy to spend loads of time in each.... read up on what you want to do the most: Venice for 4 or 5 days or Rome for 4 or 5 days.

  4. hi! i'm italian!! what about coming to Turin? it's a wonderful city and in December it's cold but you feel warm because of the lights in the centre when you go shopping for Christmas... if you can ski mountains in Piemonte are beautiful... and remember last year when the olyimpic games took place here.... have you seen them???? they were here!!!! you can come here by train. go to the Central Station (Stazione Centrale) in Milan and you'll arrive here in just one hour!!!!

  5. Yes it's a beautiful period!!!

I suggest you to come in Veneto: you can visit Venice during christmas time(simply wonderful in that period), and then you can go to Cortina d'Ampezzo, a very nice alpin town, that is only 2 hours by train or car from venice (very north of italy, near Austria). In cortina you can ski, it is the most prestigious and famous skiing place in Italy (winter olympics and several films took place in Cortina).

If you need any oher info contact me, I live between Venice and Cortina.

And remeber that if you want to come in Italy that period you shoul reserve in this days because christmas time in Italy is a peak period and prices are very high!
