  1. This is cute! lol.. Trust me if you exercising lightly... stretching.. you are not hurting the baby you are at 10wks the baby is about the size of maybe a golfball.. If you feel no pain you are fine... it's when you feel pain or your belly is to BIG and your forcing yourself to bend that you have to worry..

If he can't relax take him to the library and get him some books on pregnancy... there is no rule about touching your toes... AS long as you feel no pain and your not Forcing yourself to bend...you are fine...

    Congrats!

  2. no sweety, nothing is going to happen to your baby if you touch your toes.

  3. im 38  an 1/2 weeks andi can still touch my toes. Lol bit i doesnt hurt the baby it is small right now alittle bigger then the end of ur pinkie. And is protected by a uterus full of water! So its ok but if ur still concerned call ur dr.

  4. no honey it will not hurt the baby in most cases...but it is advisable to do as little stretching as you can when pregnant as the cord can easily get tangled around the baby's neck whilst stretching....exercise like walking etc is fine and healthy but avoid stretching whenever possible....  advice given through experience.

When i was pregnant with my first child the cord got tangled around my child's neck whilst i was washing cupboards and believe me i was not doing that much stretching but docs told me that this could have been the problem.  take it easy xx

  5. I doubt it - the baby is protected by water - like a big balloon for it.

  6. I touched my toes till the day I delivered and my baby is fine.  When you are further along it might cause you to fall over because your balance gets affected so be careful and don't do anything that feels uncomfortable.

  7. there are old wives tales that touching your toes, and reaching your arms above your head will cause the umbilical cord to wrap around the babies neck. It's just an old wives tale. but it is nice that he cares so much.

  8. congrats, me too im about 10 weeks pregnant and get told the same thing, im curious as to the answer on this will be !!!!!

  9. You should be avoiding bending at the waist as much as possible. While it's not likely you'll hurt your baby by doing so, posture is a very huge part of a healthy pregnancy.

  10. ARE YOU KIDDING? I have never heard of this. This is very interesting :D

EDIT: OKAY BENDING DOWN AND TOUCHING YOUR TOES. I think in some instances it could hurt the baby and dont worry. My whole family is so over protective in my pregnancy im 23 weeks and I am alwasy told by my inlaws not to pick up a baby over 5 months old. its annoying but whatever!

  11. it wont hurt the baby at all!, at 10weeks your uterus is still below your pelvis it hasn't moved yet and your baby will only be about 2cm long!!!

you bending over will not cause any damage /problems at all, if it did do you think we would all be working/ exercising still till late in our pregnancy's, hes just being a bit overprotective! lol...  tell him there's nothing to worry about, baby is well protected in fluid and its sack an then your uterus!

  12. No, it doesn't hurt the baby. You're baby is so tiny right now and protected by your uterus that this simple task will not harm it. I say, touch your toes while you still can. The further along you get in your pregnancy, you'll find that you can't even bend down to tie your shoes! Congrats!

  13. he cold be concerned about the bending but apart from that never herd of anyone worrying about touching their toes lol congratulations
