I'm 13, and I recently had an IQ test with a psychologist. I had a score of 142. Is it much ?

You are 13 and have a long way to go. You should of course be very confident with yourself. But you should still understand that there are millions of people with higher IQ scores than you. And there are likely loads of bums among these millions who became overconfident and underestimated their daily challenges in life. Whatever your IQ, have character.

It is not common practice to give IQ tests to children unless it is suspected that they have developmental delays or it is for admittance to a GATE program, and if they are given by a professional, the scores are rarely revealed to the child.  If they are, the tester would have discussed the significance of the score.

I'm guessing this is a joke of some sort.
