I'm 13 and 4' 11''. I haven't had a growth spurt yet and I've had my menstruation for 2 years. My dad is 5' 7'' and my mom is about 5" 1/2''.

I only want to be about 5' 1'' or 5' 2''. Would that be possible if I drink a lot of milk and exercise?

Thankss =]

  1. you just havent hit ur growth spurt yet but being 5 foot 1 is really short if u were 5 foot 4 then thats a good height. i am 13 years old and i am 5 foot 2 still growing

  2. you have some years ahead i think,,,eat right, and keep smiling,,

  3. You will grow until you are 18-21.  An old wives tale says that girls stop growing 2 years after their periods--but it is Untrue.

    Drinking milk and exercising won't necessarily make you grow taller, but it will keep you healthy.

  4. You have a long time to keep growing! Dont worry.

  5. once u start ur period ur already 1/3 done growing so u might alittle

  6. yes only 13

  7. I don't know anybody that was through growing at the age of 13. 4'11" for a girl is not bad anyway even though you want to be taller.  Even though your parents are a certain height your height and other genetic traits can be traced to generations earlier.

  8. Yes, you should have a few years of growing in you yet. Due to your parents height you probably won't be that tall but should get to what you want by about 16-18 (that's when girls tend to stop growing), you're not far from it now so just hang in there!

    Keep a good diet and for gods sake don't start smoking, it stunts your growth so I've heard.
