I'm 13 and I need help opening my own business?

Question

Okay I want to open my own business either dealing with cooking or with tutoring, can anyone give me advice or if you know of any websites or books that coud give me a guide. Please take this question seriously because I have $2000 dollars to invest in it and I am serious about opening my own business. Thanks!!!

13 is too young. you should just be studying in school and get good grades. if you want to tutor, then go to the school and tell the principal what grades and levels you can tutor.

I do not think you are too old to start a business.  I applaude you for being so determined.  Kudos to you!!  I would first tutor or what not to get some references.  If you build your client base people will really be impressed and ampt to tell everyone about it.  Word of mouth is a great advertisment and its FREE!  By the time you are out of school you will have references and a large client base to start charging!  Just do not bite off more than you can chew...finish school, your grades should be your first priority.  Having a 4.0 gpa is a great reference, plus your acedemic counsler can put a good word in for ya.  Good Luck!

you are rushing your only 13 but tutoring is easier and it is really hard to start a business  especially if you want to hire people
