  1. Lol.. I thought you were talking about running :P ;)

(Maybe dive harder? I don't swim, so dont listen to me lol)

  2. Practice hard everyday!!! Kick hard and use good tecnique

thats what got me a 26.19

    Good luck

  3. practice a lot more than now, use a drag, run before practice to make your kick stronger, clean up your stroke, do weight lifting, and practice your diving as well as your flip turn, lastly work on holding your breath for the 50 and on stream line

  4. Kick a lot. Breath only 2 or 3 times. Work on your tempo. Work on technique.

I wouldn't recommend lifting weights or doing any excessive training if you are 13. I'm 16, have never lifted weights, and am good at the 50 or the 100 so don't think you need that to excel. Just work on the basics and your time will improve.

  5. ooooo

    hehe im a 32.77

  6. Hey I am 14 and I swim about a 30 for 50m free. Free is not my best stroke but I can try and help you out.

Keep your eyes on the bottom of the pool not forward and make sure you don't move your head

Extend your arm as much as you can before you start to pull through the water (and make sure you keep the palm of your hand strong and your fingers together)

Try keeping your elbow as high as possible.

Breathe every 3 or 5 strokes

When you kick make sure its lots of little kicks so your feet are moving up and down really fast but the kick is a secondary to pull so don't overpower your pull.

Rotate your hips slightly with each arm stroke

    Hope I helped :)

    Good luck

  7. the start is key in the 50.

be the first off the blocks!

  8. Kicking will help alot and remember when you get tired to try to extend your arms as much as possible. You can also practice getting a good start and a fast flip turn.

  9. Your start, turn, and finish can change your time drastically.

Make sure you don't delay on your start and don't breath in and out of your turns. Finally, finish on your side.

Practicing endurance is also a good way to get a better time. My coach makes us do ladders. Start at a 50 -100 and go up to about a 500. Then go back down. Drills also help such as dragging your fingertips on top of the water during free or "Tarzan" (keeping your head out of the water).  Don't forget to cut down on breathing.Good luck!
