You can race any 85cc you want...Depending on how tall you are is weather or not you would need a big-wheel bike or not..if you do ride the big wheel bike you can only race it in the supermini or open class... My son is 14 and he races in 85cc age group and 85cc supermini.on small wheel bikes...He can race them until he is 16....It is total-eeeeeeee up to you..

at 13 you would need to race the big wheel 85cc section.  You would be allowed to race in that section till you are 16 years old.

I am assuming you are an Aussie as the question appears in the Australian only section when I click it so you would not race a small wheels in Australia as you would be expected to race against the big wheels and no one does that.  So you would need a big wheels.  You would do better with a 85cc as no one really races the 80's here anymore.  You of course can race it but it would be outclassed as everyone else either has 85cc or they are on crf150r's.  

If you have not joined a local club yet then go online to either Motorcycling Victoria if you are in Victoria or Motorcycling South Australia ect if there and find local clubs.  Then join one and you will be expected to do 5 hours of coaching before you can race.  You then can apply for a junior club or junior national licence to race.  As a junior you get a log book which you have to carry with you when racing as injuries get written in it and any coaching you have had.  Also any infringements.  Each year you are expected to do 5 hours of coaching before you can renew your licence but most local clubs do club level coaching for free.

Things are different in each country but that is how it is here in Australia

i'm 13 and i'm going into racing as well. you can race anybike at any age basically !!!
