  1. Number 1: High School Diploma w/c average or better, GED's do NOT work.

Number 2: Don't get arrested for something stupid!

Number 3: DONT DO DRUGS! - Completely obvious, i know -

Number 4: Start a weight lifting regiment complemented with a some martial arts.

Number 5: Eat according to your physical training regiment.

    Number 6: ... i can't think of any more .....

  2. Well, if you really want to join the marines, I recomend a good education, keep your grades up high.  Also stay in shape, get strong and fast.  Run as much as you can, do pullups, pushups, crunches, etc...  Physical fitness is a must.  Now, I don't know if there is some sort of Marine Academy (I know there is Airforce and Army) but if there is I recomend setting my sights there.  It will allow you to join as an officer which gives you a much better standing.  Course you will be in school for 4 more years but it really is worth it (plus when you retire or quit the marines you have an education so you can get a good job).

  3. Join the army...

  4. Get a high school diploma and do sports and try not to get arrested. Thats pretty much it.

  5. all you got to do is graduate hs:

if all you want to do is just join, but dont care about smarts

take the easiest classes in hs, concentrate on sports all year long

(football in fall, baseketball in winter, baseball in spring, ect.)

    also take up weight training

  6. Run a lot and stay physically fit ,study a lot --focus on languages and math

  7. Join the Young Marines, Sea Cadets or Civil Air Patrol. I would suggest Civil Air Patrol, as it is the best cadet program.  These programs show you military life, and customs and courtesies and drill.  Two weeks ago I went to encampment for Civil Air Patrol.  It was pretty much boot camp, a lot of yelling, running, exercise, drill and more yelling for 8 days.  It really shows what life in the military is like.  An USAFA cadet came and told us that if we could make it through this, regular military training would be a lot easier.

  8. Anything you do to make yourself a healthier person, a better student and a more well rounded individual is also going to make you a better Marine.
