  1. Hi, it is never too late to follow your dream. Yes, you could have started a bit earlier, but if you start now, stick with it, persevere and try your hardest and do it because you want to, not because fame/fortune or because somebody else wants you to. Good luck!!

  2. YES!!!!!!!!!!

  3. I would hope so.  At 14, you surely aren't over the hill.  Check local theater groups or drama classes at school.  Sometimes colleges have casting calls for children in the community to play children.  Usually, though, the children (& teens) who get the parts have some sort of training at a community theater or recreation center.  Ask around for such groups.  Also, take any vocal music classes & dance classes that you can at school.

Then, too, there's sometimes private training available for making commercials & other acting jobs.  It probably costs more than public schools & community recreation centers.  It never hurts to ask, though.

  4. yes 14 is still pretty young, start small and get into a good drama school. there are great actors that didn't start until they were 30 something.

  5. Of course you can.

But do you mean "acting" in that's the career you wish to have or an interest you wish to pursue.  I know people who are teachers and construction workers by day and act in community theatres at nights and on the weekends for fun.

Being an actor as a career is different.  Stage? Commercials? Movies?  Character actor or "star"?

You need to consider how serious you wish to be about it.

  6. Always. Tracy Lords became a very famous p**n star at 15 and later went to the big screen after they found out how old she was. There is always room go find an audition

  7. of course.  this site should be able to help you in starting out: hollywood-opportunities(dotcom)

  8. i'm your age too. and the best way is go into drama class!

it helps you alot. and its so much fun :)

  9. I probably should have left this alone, and I'm not here to offend you or any others who answer.

Realizing that the median age in this category is under 20, I'm only 50 years older than you are, and I'm baffled by any ones notion that any age is either too old or too young to explore anything they want to do.

Obviously at 14, an education could be your best defense against poverty one day, and if acting is your choice, then you can consider all manner of additional education and experience in the craft.

GREAT is relative and subjective however. I suspect you can count on one hand those who are in the millionaire club, while those who aren't could fill hundreds of metro phone books.

Most important in the craft, or anything one does, is having a passion for it. The simple sense of enjoying what you do might be considered the GREAT of it.

  10. i am 11 but i am starting acting classes as soon as skool starts and hope to be famous one day too...so i dont think ur too old...but thats just me...get other peoples opions first tho...just to see wat they think !!!

  11. Forget the fame side of it. Those who are foolish enough to start out thinking they will become famous always end up getting chewed to bits and spat out by the business. You have to have a drive for acting because you love doing it, NOT because it validates you.

  12. yeah around 12,13 and 14 is the best age.

  13. yea, the age thats too late is usually 16, so start now b4 its too late

  14. In my opinion there is not a "never too late" in acting. I know 4 year old actresses and 70 year old actresses. All are inspiring in their craft. Here are some things you could do right now (summer camps are great and there are many back to school classes availible!) I would suggest that you start with acting classes at your local theatre as well as getting an acting coach, voice coach, joining a choir, taking dance classes such as tap, hip hop ballet, jazz, or a musical theatre dance class. All of these skills properly developed will come in handy at auditions. You will have to audition for many plays so you can A) get better roles in plays because they know you have experience and B) be able to eventually get a reputable acting agent who can sucessfully help you to find acting jobs. Good luck- and break a leg (actor's term) not literally. =]

    Happy acting to you!

  15. Act in your school play(when summer break is done)

  16. YES! The only one in the way of your dream is you. If it's what you truly want then go for it. Take acting classes, enroll in schools with special attention to Drama. Take advantage of every opportunity that comes your way!

  17. yes
