This is slightly embarrasing for me to ask but,

I started my period about a month ago and ive been using pads. my periods are usually light and Im not sure how to ask this question but, The pad's are usually really thick and I feel really conscious when I wear things like skinny jeans cos im scared they would stick out or something lol (if you get me). I hate the idea of wearing tampons because it makes me cringe, but could I wear a pantyliner instead of a pad while im on my period instead? Or could anyone recommend any really thin pads I could try? I live in the uk btw

thanks

xxxxx

  1. Bodyform, the really thin ones.

  2. For me the tampons are soooooo much better! but anyway as far as pads go, you should go to the store and check out all the THIN regular pads or THIN lights. Always are good and so are kotex. Good Luck!

  3. you could try the thinnest pad that they have in the uk. i live in the u.s. you can also try pantyliner and see how that works for you. if you get to a point where you don't like either then try tampons they are not that bad i promise.

  4. Tampons aren't as bad as you think.  When I first got my period I was skeptical about using them but when I finally tried I gave up pads totally.  Tampons are way more comfortable and discrete.  As for pany liners, you would have to be very careful when only wearing that because they don't absorb much.  When looking for thin pads try ALWAYS

  5. Use Always ultra thin and dont use a tampon they r really uncomfortamble when u bend down

  6. Try using a pantyliner around the house , or on the weekend when you aren't going anywhere , & wear like , junkie pants or shorts , so if it does leak you don't ruin good pants. Then if that works use pantyliners.

  7. I wouldn't recommend that you only wear panty liners because your period will not be as light as your first one and you wouldn't want to leak through. I would suggest you try the always ultra thin pads. They are barely there.

  8. you can toatally use pannyliners i do sometimes when its light the only thing is if your in school you might need to cheak a little bit more to make sure its not gunna leak, but it wouldent go threw jeans anyway. Hope i helped

  9. light days by kotex or always super thins or the always pantyliners that come in the purple box. I've used these for years without any problem. Always keep a back up pad in case your period is heavier than expected.

  10. If your periods are really light, You should be able to wear a pantyliner without  worry,

  11. I use always ultra thin and I have never had a problem

  12. Always ultra are really thin, and nobody would suspect that you are wearing them, its just paranoid feelings that you have because you know that you are. I don't recommend you wear panty liners because they do not absorb the same, and would not do the job properly.  Apart from the cringe factor about tampons, try to get over this, cos they are far better especially for us fashion conscious girls, and they are far more hygienic too (if you know what I mean).  give them a go, you might surprise yourself.  Good luck

  13. I use Always Ultra Thin, the regular size, with wings, and it really doesn't show, nor does it feel bulky...

They also have thicker pantyliners that are still thinner than the ultra thin pads, but I don't feel like they cover "enough ground", if you know what I mean...

  14. Well, my period switches from light to heavy and i've had it for about...2 years, and i always wear pads(always), just to be safe. i only wear pany liners at the end of my period, or when i think i'm getting it. i feel very uncomfortable but it's what i have to do.
