I'm 14. Am I supposed to give Zakat?

I'm trying hard to earn money. I can't get a job until next summer though =\ Should I give zakat this year? Will I get punished if I don't? My family always gives ME and my sister zakat, and I feel bad not giving back. Help.. [¡] яαmαdαи кαяєεm [!]

ur family gives u zakat because they feel good that they gave and gave u to give. if you dont earn money its ok, thats why ur family gives you the money. it gives u both the hassannatt. my family does the same thing since im only 14 as well.

no u dnt have to pay zakat cuz u r still young even if u earn money zakat in simple zakat is for those who have there own business and who have a good amount of money if u want to pay back then pay sadakah which u won't be punished if u dnt give it but u take hasanat on it and if u spend 1 $ god gives u 10 $ and more so give sadakat but dnt give zakat

First off if your mother and father are giving you zakat; it is NOT accepted. Also Im pretty sure aunts uncles and such CAN NOT give you zakat either. And the only way you can give zakat to your parents is if they qualify. You are still ghulam or Minor and until you reach the age of independence you do not give zakat. Im only 15 and i wont give zakat till im married probably. so dont worry about issues which you dont need to worry about. You can always buy your parents a gift if you feel bad.

U only Pay Zakat On the Fixed  AMount of Money Thats in ur Bank Account for upto an Year  ! Dont have to pay Zakat off ur Wages !
