I know being a lawyer isn't all just about dressing cute as a girl.;)

Not being obnoxious either.

But loud, I'm not a loud person.

How could i get over this fear?

  1. Number one:

You have to hold high regard of your own opinion, you have to know you are right, and you must have passion.

Number two: Keep in mind, as a lawyer you won't be doing much "getting loud". Lawyers read more than most English teachers do. Think about that.

It might not be so appealing to you.

  2. Being a lawyer is not about being aggressive, LOUD, and dressing up. In fact I am a very quiet soft spoken individual and I still manage to sway a jury in my favor.

To become a lawyer, you have to be intelligent. Especially in language. Laws are written poorly, many times with loop-holes because Politicians think they're brilliant when the reality is they use that thesaurus too much. A lawyer knows how to use language and how to make it work for him/her. To see if you're good at this, take an Intro to Logic class in college.

As a lawyer, you better love to read, get A's in English and any paper you write. Articulate yourself well, write clearly, and excel greatly in presentation, logic, and rationality.

Further, if you're planning on becoming a lawyer. Your college degree will be more along the lines of English, Philosophy, or some liberal arts degree to prep you for the LSAT. Unless you get an A average on your essays, you wont be a good lawyer. Chances are you won't even do well on the LSAT and get accepted into law school

    Goodluck!

  3. You're shy or suffer from some sort of social anxiety, then? If you're just a person who doesn't like to talk then that is okay, but if you're actually shy or nervous in social situations, you overcome that through repetition. You're going to have to get out there and expose yourself, over and over again, to your fear in a number of different social situations and learn to socialise comfortably with complete strangers.

Depending on how shy you are, start off by maintaining eye contact, saying 'hello' to strangers, commenting here and there in conversations and slowly move up, once you're comfortable to. It gets easier over time. Force yourself to talk to strangers, make at least one (preferably much more) social risk per day.

  4. take a singing class. even if you have a crappy voice they'll teach you how to talk before you sing. vocal suicide is when somebody like a teacher or a lawyer dont know how to talk properly and damage their voices. In singing classes they teach you how to use vocal cords correctly when you talk as well as sing. And since you have to sing in front of people, you get over talking softly fast.

    best of luck
