Listen, I don't need the rude comments on how big I am

but I'm entering high school this year and I need some advice.

I'm excersizing at LA fitness, [I do ten minutes on the eliptical, and 20 minutes on the excersize bike] because I'm DETERMINED to lose this weight. I hate this, and I want to be healthier, and more attractive.

My goal is 140 pounds. So that means 76 pounds needed lost, so is there a GOOD diet that has helped you in the past? I really need it, and I could use any good diet I could get.

Thank you so much.

  1. At your young age you need plenty of animal protein so the Atkins diet would probably be ideal for you.

The Atkins diet has a high success rate and permits all animal protein such as meat, poultry, fish, eggs and dairy products and all non-starchy carbohydrates such as fruit and most vegetables.  Starchy carbohydrates are not permitted and these include bread, cereals, pasta, rice, potatoes, sweet potatoes, carrots, beans, peas, lentils and a few others.

You can get a whole book on the Atkins diet from Health Stores with plans and schedules.

  2. run 5 miles every day

swim 10 olympic laps every other day

weight train different parts of the body 6 days a week

cut out fast food, soda, and junk food

I lost 50 pounds doing just this

    230lbs down to 180lbs ( I am 6 feet tall)

  3. I was 14 and 232 pounds....(I'm now 18) I stopped drinking pop, watching what I ate and ate 3 meals a day. I had started working out at curves 2 years later and I would also take walks. Keep strong and don't eat junk food. I had been around my grandma almost every weekend and she was one that she ate because she was bored. I realized that and so I stopped. I tried to not eat sweets and do more exercising.

I learned that it helps to have someone supporting you through it. I always had people offering pop or candy and I had to stay strong and turn it down. Just have the people there behind you and watch what you eat. Eat because you need too, not because you're bored. Something else I was taught is when you're eating, don't eat til you're full. You're stomache is actually full before your brain tells you you are full. Also, drink lots of water. But so when you eat, eat a portion and if you think you're still hungry, wait about 20 minutes or so. See what you're body is telling you. If it seems like you're still hungry, then eat a little bit more, if you're body is telling you you have ate just the right amount, don't go and eat more. Hope you are able to accomplish your goal.  And remember, when losing weight, you have some plateaus during it. So if you have been losing weight and then stop for a few weeks, don't get discouraged! Good luck!

  4. Breakfast: 1 cup Kashi Mountain Medley Granola + 1/2 cup skim milk

Mid-morning: 1 gala apple; carrots + 2 tbsp Kraft Fat Free French Dressing

Lunch: Nature Valley bar; 1 cup boiled V8 100% vegetable juice

    Mid-afternoon: 1/2 Duncan's Light English Muffin + 1 tbsp Better'n Peanut Butter + 2 tbsp Smucker's Sugar Free Strawberry (or Blackberry) Preserves

Dinner: Cooked broccoli + cheese sauce; 1/2 cup whole grain rice; 1 grilled chicken breast

Dessert: Frozen Ensure (Strawberries and Creme) (<--I like it frozen!)

...and that's a very low-calorie day that will keep you full and also meets every single food group!

    i think your doing great

&& keep up the hard work

  5. haha umm eat healthy, exerise, umm theres really nothing else yu can doo.tht i knoww of

  6. i have no idea what your current diets looking like, but i know that really being away of waht you eat is a great start. knowing what your putting in your mouth, and where its from, and how much of it youre eatting. take time to enjoy your meal, becuase your body cant really tell if its hungry anymore or not for at least another 20 minutes after youve eatten.

as for excersize, its mostly all about cardio. meaning, getting your heart rate up. its recommended that you keep up any cardio for at least 20 minutes (which is what im assuming youre doing with the bike??) but its only after the 20 minute mark, for the most part where you begin to burn calories where it matters, try to keep the work out up for 30 minutes!

swimming is also a great sport, you use pretty much every part of your body at once, so you not only work with the cardio aspect but put on the good muscle. I used to swim while I was in high school for two years, and stopped for 3 years already, and still havent lost very much of the msucle I gained from swimming... it stays with you!!

    good luck! :)

  7. Make sure to eat, because if you starve yourself to become skinny it just makes you miserable, and brings your body into starvation mode, and every thing you eat will be stored as fat. I'm not savung you would, but im just throwing that out there. Keep exercising and push yourself, try to work out for a longer time, and then if you really work hard one day take a recovery day. Eat slowly so you can tell when your full, and dont drink pop, espcially diet pop, its just as bad if not worse. Dont have candy and don't snack between meals. One thing that works for me is whenever I feel like eating I stop and think am I really hungry? and if im not then I wont eat anything, I will chew a piece of gum, because then I am already chewing something, so i dont feel like snacking. Instead of pop drink fruit juice, preferably one without added sugar. You can mix juice with bubbly water like perrier and then it tastes just as good as pop and if healthier. ALWAYS eat breakfast. I know you hear this a lot but it really is important and it starts out your day on a good note. Eat healthy, oatmeal is really easy to make, its worth making the stovetop kind, it doesnt take much longer, and its just as yummy when it has  little bit of honey and milk, or some soymilk. It sounds gross but its really good. A quick breakfast is scrambled eggs in the microwave, just stick 1 or 2 eggs in a coffee cup and microwave it for 30 second intervals, stirring it after every 30 seconds. Yum! Always think positive and if you ever get discouraged then imaginge youself thinner, if you have photoshop you can try altering a pic so you are thinner, and you can look at that whenever you feel like candy or chips or whatever unhealthy food you want. Good Luck I really hope it works for you! You can do it!!!! :)
