Is that any good?

(My teacher said to keep working at my sprinting, esp 200m, and I could be really good, how many seconds do I have to shave off?)

  1. An 8th grader in my school ran the 100 in the low 12's (I guess she was 13-14) but she was a BEAST!!! It's alright I guess, honestly RIGHT NOW, it doesn't seem like anything special but keep on working!!!

  2. ok i have to be honest it's not great. However the times you would need to run in college would probable be somewhere around a 11.5 second 100 and 25s 200. If you train hard eat well and build muscle you should be able to shave that time off. When you get to the point where you can run several 200's with a one minute break in between them in less then 33 seconds then you're getting there.

  3. well im 14 and i run 100m in about 14seconds

and im one of the slowest at my athletics club

    but

that is a good time so keep working at it

and keep your fitness up and i think you will be really good!

  4. Its pretty average.  You'll have to put some devent training in if you want to get "really good" i.e. youth elite level.

Maybe you're just not a sprinter?

Have you tried longer distances?  Maybe you're more of an endurance runner.

  5. when i was 14 i ran the 100m in about 13.9...but the average where i lived was about 14.3....so i say about 2 seconds on that.. work on getting out of the blocks real fast....and your 200 time i think is really good for being 14

  6. 100m= about 12 secs (my classmate does it for 8)

  7. just keep working hard cause when I was 14 my pr in the 100 was 13.2 now its 12.6 and my pr for the 200 was 27 and now its 25.5 only 2 years that I improved...you should run the 400 like i do cause it makes u stronger for the 200
