i don't think you can force a minor to get an abortion...i'm pretty sure that has to be illegal somewhere! if not i seriously recommend you going to the yellow pages and getting a lawyer to represent you probono because that really doesn't seem right to me on a human rights level

i don't think that its appropriate for a 14 year old to be having s*x and certainly they shouldn't be raising a child but if you don't want to have an abortion i still think its your choice but you should definitely look in to adoption options...

I am 13, nearly 14. and i feel for you.

they will probably make you abort.

i feel terrible to say this, but i think your parents will say to abort.

And from my point of view abortion is your only option.

especially if you want to have a life and a decent career.

i do wonder what the world is coming to when i hear girls the same age as me getting pregnant at such a young age.

if you feel aborting the baby is murder then how about adoption?

my advice is tell your parents the truth and hope for the best.

I am guessing you aren't from the US...so I don't know about the laws over  where you are...but in the US...girls have reproductive rights...so parents can't force a 14 year old girl here to have an abortion if she doesn't want one

Hiya, no your mum and dad cant make you get rid of your baby (u are from the UK right?), like your doctor has to basically do what you say, since you are mature enough to make your own medical decisions. They could try to get your boyfriend, but if he is still a minor (under 16) then I don't think they can do anything really.

they cant make you have an abortion.just because you are a minor it doesnt mean they can make you kill your baby that is illegal. you should of been more carefull though because if your parents wont support you ,you might not have any option but to get rid of it

14 and prego... not something to be proud of.  It depends where you're from and what the laws are.  But in Canada I don't think, even if you're a minor, that parents can make you abort..... You need to think about the baby though.  Are you going to be able to afford it?  Your life is going to be ruined just letting you know... Think about adoption.

There's nothing you can do, or nothing effective. You most likely can't afford to abort the baby yourself, and you're still not an adult, which considers you a minor. So yes, your 'strict' parents can make you abort.

If your boyfriend is only 1 year older than you, you're likely either both on the same side of the age of consent, or else within a 'romeo and juliet' exception. They may be able to get a restraining order against him, but I don't think they'll be able to get him into legal trouble.

If they try to make you get an abortion, then don't sign any papers or anything, and clearly tell the nurses and such at the clinic that you do not consent (that specific language) to an abortion or any other procedure intended to end the pregnancy. In a similar way, if they try to make you give the child up for adoption against your will, simply don't sign anything, and tell the people at the agency that you are not consenting to any of it.

In the UK. No they can't. But I can relate to your parents. You are so young to have gotten yourself into this situation, and they just want whats best for you. But you have rights, maybe you could go through with the pregnancy and put the baby up for adoption?  Be understanding with you parents, they are just concerned about you. Talk to them, like an adult, the adult you thought you were when you were having s*x. It's not just about what you want. What about your baby? Your baby didn't ask to be conceived. Sit down with your parents, and the person you had s*x with, and his parents. Be mature and do the responsible thing. Don't abort you baby. If you do, you'll feel guilty forever.

Your parents cannot force you to get an abortion or give the baby up for adoption.  However, they can refuse to support the child which would make it very hard for you to take care of it.  As for your boyfriend, there's nothing they can do to him either.  It's illegal for both of you to be having s*x since you're under 16 which is the age of consent in most states.  Because you're both under that age, neither of you can get in trouble or get arrested.  

You will need to tell your parents ASAP.  Are you positive you're pregnant?  Have you been to a doctor or Planned Parenthood to get tested?  Since you are so young, I would look into adoption.  That way you know your child will be cared for by mature adults who may not be able to have any children of their own.

You need to come clean with your parents. You need to get them on your side if you are going to survive this as a family. Also the advice of your parents will be helpful.

No, a mother who is of minor age, is presumed by law to have the same rights as a mother who is considered an adult. The young lady cannot be forced to place her child for adoption, have an abortion, or sign over custodial rights. If she does not have the support of her family or others, she can petition the court for emancipation rights. 1st you both have to think what you want to do. Do you want to have the baby? think about what is to become a mom and a dad. dont be scared if you dont wanna keep it you just have to be sure about WHAT YOU WANT TO DO cos then you cant regret.
