  1. no if you work really hard you may someday go en pointe. but it may not be for a few years. when you start your ankles aren't going to be that strong. but over time and practice, they'll get stronger.

  2. Im going to be 14 in november and possibly going on pointe this year, but I've dance for a while! You need at least 3 years of classical ballet training, meaning that you will turn 17 the year that you can go on pointe of if you're lucky 16. But, in your teens, it's never really too late.

  3. it's not to late but you will have to work your tail off for 2-3 years to get them

  4. No it's not.:)

  5. it all depends on if you are ready. i highly doubt that you will be able to just go right on point. you have to build your ankle muscles and your leg muscles because if you are not strong enuf in your ankles you will be all wobily in point and you could break your ankle. so just wate a little while. it could be that you get your point shoes in a year.

    GOOD LUCK!! <3  :]

  6. nope, it's never too late.

  7. You will not be able to go on point straight away but there is no reason why you can't later on if you work at it.  In fact it is better for you foot health that it has been left later.   If you go on point too young it can damage your feet for ever.

    Good luck

  8. You are not too late to be able to go on pointe, but it will take yeras of ballet before you will be strong enough to be allowed to use this technique. Only a good ballet teacher can answer as to when you are ready. Don't try to do it home or buy shoes before you are ready. your legs need to be strong enough to support your weight and trying too early can lead to serious injuries. Good luck with everything, and remember, to be good at ballet takes a lot of discipline, hard work and effort.

  9. Yes it is totally possible! I've been taking dance for basically 3 years. I'm going onto pointe in september after only 2 years of ballet training so anything is possible if you work to become more flexible and strong. and practice practice practice!!
