  1. I have never known anyone that's had it.

They say to stay away from super plus tampons, only use the absorbency you need for the job, never keep one in for over 8 hours.

  2. If you leave the tampon in for more than 5-8 hours, your chances greatly increase for getting Toxic Shock Syndrome. If you change them often enough, it shouldn't be a problem.

  3. I think that that was really only happening with the really super super absorbency ones that are now off the market. If you ever have a fever or rash when you're using one though, take it out and go to the doctor right away.

  4. Ok for those who don't know TSS is Toxic Shock Syndrom.  And the risks are very low my mom asked my doctor b/c she was worried about me getting it and it will only happen if you keep the tampon in for like 2 or 3 days.  My advice just don't leave it in for more than 4-8 hours and you'll be fine.  Ok?  Don't worry it's very unlikely that you'll get it. I'm 13 and I've been using tampons for at least 2 years and nothing has happened to me!!!  Also another thing  don't have you're tampojn in for only an hour and then take it out.  It not very comfy when you take it out then.  ANy way good luck with the tampons!
