  1. browns are always comforting and give kind of a coffee house effect. you could do browns and cream, or brown and pink, or a darker brown and a lighter brown, theres a lot of combinations you could do

  2. play around with the Sherwin Williams color visualizer to find colors that you like. It is the best paint visualizer on the web, imho. I like how their color palette is laid out, I like that you can search by color family & color name, the "painted" rooms look the most realistic, and it suggests coordinating color schemes. You can literally spend hours:

I think a dark green like "arugula" (# 6446) would make a terrific cozy room. Like being in the forest.

You can also take a photo of your house & upload it to the makeover gallery on this website:

You can get color suggestions & they'll photoshop them onto your room so that you can get an idea of what it will look like.

  3. warm color combinations like: brown, tan and light blue

puffy, soft comforters, with overstuffed pillows.

    a sitting area

a rug ( if you have hardwood floors)

just try to generally make you're room look casual and comfortable with acessories as well. antique-ish things can sometimes help with that.

    good luck!

  4. I like pink and butterflies...or even orange is pretty, but like a light orange. I knew this girl that did black strips and put like pictures that had a pink frame around it...it was really pretty. Her bed spread, or quilt had light pink and black in it. it was flowers...I dunno it was adoreable. Pillows also help with the cozy look.
