I'm 14 yrs old, and I REALLY need a place to volunteer/work over the summer ALL day. Near midtown, manhattan.

Question

VolunteerMatch.com didn't do much good...

I would LOVE to volunteer with animals, or in a vegetarian kitchen/restaurant. I also work very well with young children. I would provide my own tansportation to and from the city, but i would need to stay from morning [around 9am] to evening [around 6:30pm].

HELP WOULD BE GREATLY APPRECIATED!

and put in your zip code and stuff and things will come up...

but there are limits to what you can work at because you're under 16.. so make sure you talk with a guidance counselor to make sure you know what laws are in place for you!

Check with local churches.  Even if you're not religious, it doesn't matter.  I'm not at all religious, but I've done alot of work with Catholic volunteer organizations.

I volunteer at the ASPCA.  You like animals and are of the age to volunteer with the cats like me, plus you could stay all day.   Also, they take you on trips when you want to help the adomption-mobile Check it out, you might like it! :)
