I have this thing called 'sleep paralysis'. They are like 10 times worse than a nightmare and I'm terried of going to bed. I often go into my mums bed so she can listen to my breathing to tell me if i'm having a sleep paralysis.

If she goes to bed before me, I just don't sleep. Just incase I have one. And she feels preasure to stay up now. And we both don't get to sleep till like 6am or something.

help?

  2. Have you tried going to a sleep clinic?

  3. i think you should get professional help because this is really crazy wat i do is just close my eyes don't think of anything else just the things i like to do with my family and friends or just think about the guy i like but yeah you and your mom should go to a sociologist so she or he can help you with your problem!

  4. Sleep paralysis is natural. When you dream, your body disables itself as a safety mechanism. It's nothing to be afraid of. If you wake up and cannot move, do not panic. If you close your eyes, you will fall back to sleep very quickly. The best things can happen in your wildest dreams, so why be afraid?

Some also think sleep paralysis may happen before astral projection (leaving your body). This is also a natural occurance and in fact, this might be a sign that you are gifted.

  5. Maybe you should go for a sleep study

  6. Can you get some sort of physiological monitor? My kids were preemies and they had a heart-lung monitor. If they're hearts stopped beating, the monitor sounded an alarm. It alerted us as well as shocked their hearts back into beating or their lungs back into breathing.

The heart-lung monitor strapped around the chest. I do not know if it is used with adult or teen patients. My son also had a pulse oximeter in the hospital. It has a red light with a bandaid that straps onto a finger or toe. If he stopped breathing or his saturation of oxygen got low, it sounded an alarm. It was made by Massimo. I do not know if they can be purchased for home use but we seriously considered getting one.
