  1. yes you can! A lot of studios that i have seen have adult beginner classes. I find that when i am put in a class with people that are better than me that i work harder and I improve faster so maybe if you find a studio, they will put you in a class with students your age if you work better that way too. They also might start you in a younger class and you work your way up. Good luck with your ballet!!

  2. You can still start! Just find a dance studio and ask them what class you can be in.

  3. Yes, you can start at 15 years of age. I have heard some adults start ballet and other types of dance when they are about 30+ with no experience whatsoever and they are very good.

I am not sure though if every single dance school would.

I suggest looking in any local directories or the local newspaper.

I started ballet at 9 years of age and that didn't matter at all.

Also, I know this isn't going to help you in finding a dance school but I thought I'd tell you so you won't lose confidence:

Last year I was watching a dance show and one of the contestants which I thought was very good said he only started dancing last year (a year before the dance show was on.) So I though, wow. He was a brilliant ballerina and ballroom dancer with only one years' experience.

So whatever your age, if you work hard, you'll succeed in being a good dancer.

Hope I helped and good luck in finding a dance school for you.

  4. Yes, you can start at any age! I started when I was 8, and I'm still taking it.

I am still taking it with my best friend and we've seen many people go through, even one who was in her 20s!

I say, go for it! =)

  5. Yes, they do. Its never too late to start dancing!!

Just make sure while you are in class, you pay attention and have the proper things. You need ballet shoes, and most likely either a leotard or loose fitting clothes. Basically clothes that you can dance well in.

Also, make sure you know that in classes they do not just look good, they help you with new stretches and friends.

    Good luck!!
