So, I'm 5'8" and 130. Basketball starts in a couple of months, and I'm looking to buff up and get stronger. I wanna get up to at least 140 by November, and hope around 150-160 by the end of the school year. I've been going to the gym for a couple of months now, and I'm seeing some results, but not as much as I would like.

Does anyone have any tips to help me out, like workout tips or supplements? BTW I'm not using any supplements but I would like to give it a shot, so if anyone can tell me more about them, and which one(s) to use, I'd appreciate that. Thanks.

  1. well you can take protein shakes and no other supplements. just protein shakes. as for your training you can find great articles on teenbodybuilding.com and you can also find the best supplements there

  2. Nutrition is an important part of muscle gain. You need to be eating enough so that your muscles always will have what they need to grow. If you want to try a supplement then get some protein powder. 8-12 rep range is best for building muscle but not for strength or endurance. If you are lifting for basketball then you should probaly focus on strength and endurance. For endurance go for 13-20 reps and for strength go for 1-5 reps. You also need enough rest inbetween workouts. That would be atleast two days depending on how intense your workout was. Harder workouts may require more rest time.
