  1. You will see effects.  I doubt, however, that they will be extreme.

  2. Global warming is not just for our kids and grandkids to deal with. Climate change is here. A decade ago, it was debatable. Now the future is unfolding before our eyes.

Climate change is evident worldwide: in melting Artic Sea ice[1], world-wide glacial retreat[2], Antarctica snowmelt[3][4], changing ocean currents[5], changing ocean chemistry[6][7], spread of tropical disease[8], altered patterns of agriculture[9], sea level rise[10][11], etc...

Billions of people face shortages of food and water and increased risk of flooding, climate experts from the IPCC have warned. Many of these risks will probably come as early as 2020.[12] These findings have been supported by independent research groups.[13]

  3. No, global warming is a fake.

Edit: To the guy above me: The temperature hardly rised a degree, how could we see such effects? Lol, sad.

    Billy, don't forget the 08.

  4. We are seeing affects, though very subtle.  The quality of grapes in Napa has gone down since temperatures there have risen, and now, North Carolina is the new Napa valley.  We have had a extended winter here in Michigan, due to increased gulf air, which caused more snow.  Huge chunks of Antarctic ice shelves are breaking loose. These are layers that have been there for hundreds, thousands of years.  New ice is forming there, but its thin.  Iraq had snow this year. The artic has been having warmer summers going back about 15 years, and keep getting worse.  A slight temperature change in one area has trickle down affects globally.

  5. NO,  the only thing you'll find out is that it was a cute little lie that people like you fell for

  6. Not extreme affects.

  7. Judging by posts in Yahoo I would say the first extreme effect, which is the mass brainwashing of our youths is already taking place.

Global warming is the hijacking of a legitimate environmental movement by a bunch of self interested jackals.

There are real environmental problems that need real solutions.  Air pollution from carbon particles and metals, soil depletion, loss of ground water or ground water pollution.

Did you learn about global warming in school?  Tell those teachers that you would like to take action and since you are a kid it is hard to organize something.  Ask them to organize an environmental event, a trash pickup day is easy to do.  If you get excuses and not action, guess what you just learned how to spot somebody who is full of bull.

  8. Mr. NoBama is right

  9. Perhaps severe water shortages first.

  10. That remains to be seen.

By extreme effects, do you mean stuff like more farmland in Canada, Russia, Siberia and Northern Europe?  More precipitation?  Milder winters?  Longer growing seasons?  More food production?  More inhabitable land?

    We can only hope so.

  11. I'm your same age, and right now I'm seeing the effect. Look for example at the huge glaciar that fell into the artic ocean just last week, or the decrease in the mount kilimanjaro snaow cap svs.gsfc.nasa.gov/vis/a000000/a003100/a0...

The extreme efect is estimated to happen in 2100, so not the big change, but today climate shifts and huracaines, and other problems have already started. We will however see the effect of the last drinkable water source, estimated 2070 if we don't do something to stop our wreckless consumerism and waste.

  12. We are seeing the affects now. Such as record droughts, severe flooding and storms increasing in strength and unpredictability
