Hey. I am a member of a very competive school varsity track team. I am looking to run competively in my comunity as well.

I am fifteen in july and am female.

I really want to make it to ontario level competions next season...made to eastern ontario this year.

I think starting to train now would help.

I run the 100m...getting to short for me though...200m and I'd like to start the 400m.

What are some good training methods that could keep me in the best shape and cut down my times. Also anything specific for the 400 m would be awesome since i never ran it before.

Thanks everyone in advance :)

  1. this is what I'm doing now.

i met up with my coach and now we meet twice a week.

since it's the off season, it's a great time to tackle the little things. such as your form.

we do a lot of plyometric stuff to make us better in general, you should ask you're coach somehow what they think you should do.

anyway, I don't do 400 but i see it executed like this-

Sprint the first 100. relax the next 100. and start to sprint the last 200.
