A few years ago I had to take massive amounts of steroids for chronic sinusitis. it made me gain like 40 pounds! i can't seem to get it off! I've been trying to eat better and run, but it's not really working as fast as I'd like it. Any suggestions?

  1. drink 1 litre of mint tea every day

use natural mint leaves, it speeds up your metabolism so you burn fat faster and is great for your skin

it leaves you feeling refreshed and cool and it tastes better than most teas

it is great for your teeth too

  2. Well you mentioned that you are trying to eat better and run. Both of those are perfect for you to do. But you have got to understand that it will take time. You have got to be patient to see the results. It will take a lot of hard work and time but if you keep up with the running and the better eating you will lose weight.

    Stay away from fast food.

It's great that you want to be healthy, good luck!

  3. drink alot of water. Don't drink regular pop. Try to not eat alot of bread or potatoes. I know it's discouraging when you don't see immediate results. Hang in there. Don't do anything unhealthy to loose weight. Or try weightwatchers.

  4. Do NOT listen to the rude comments... I can't believe there are so many obnoxious people.

The other advice is good. Take your time. Unfortunately, it will be slow going. Exercise daily, (running is good) include strength training. Muscle weighs more than fat so even though youa re becoming more lean, it may not show on the scale. Drink a lot of water. Eat fruit, vegetables and lean meats. Allow yourself a bite of something you crave.

Again ignore the rude comments. Sad world we live in that people talk to one another like that... :(

  5. I suggest you report the people who gave you mean answers.  Because I have.  So if we both do, we may get their accounts suspended.  You need to keep a food and exercise diary.  It really helps.  You can buy a book that tells you the calorie content of any food you can imagine, or find it online for free.  Keep track of every calorie you eat.  Try to eat around 1300 a day.  It is really hard at first, but it gets easier as time goes on.  And just walk every day for as long as you can, but at least 20 minutes.  Once you get in the habit, it's fun, and it keeps your metabolism up.

  6. Try this.
