Lately, I've bee having thoughts about taking over America and...rebuilding it. Why? Because America is going down the drain economically, politically and etc. Economically, we've become too dependent upon imported goods a fair amount of them from China, and we're especially too dependent on oil. As of January 30, 2008, the total U.S. federal debt was approximately $9.20 trillion. And the American dollar is gradually decreasing in it's worlwide value. Politcal parties are doing nothing but dividing our country and it's making us weak, plus there's a fair amout of internal corruption and some politicians are sinking to new lows just to get votes and etc. The government is constantly hiding stuff from the American people, they've probably already found cures for some diseases ad sicknesses but just haven't revealed it since thousands of doctors would likely lose their jobs. Our military is being exhausted on this War on Terrorism. Our health is slowly decreasing and obesity percentages are increasing every year. Pollution and deforestation is still a prblem in the USA. The American Academy of Pediatrics has identified the sexual behaviors of American adolescents as a "major public health problem", and there is a strong correlation between early sexual activity and engaging in other risky behaviors. Every year, an estimated 1 in 4 sexually active teens contracts an STD, and teen pregnancy is 2 to 10 times more prevalent in the United States than in other similarly developed countries. Although early sexual activity may be caused by a variety of factors, the media are believed to play a significant role.[According to journalism professor and media critic Jane Brown, since adolescents see so much s*x in the media it is piquing their interest in s*x at ages younger than they have traditionally been.

But anyways, it just makes me...ANGRY. So angry that i wanna start a violent (if that's necessary) revolution agaist America, take it over, burn or take most of it's historical documents and rewrite them, put some new laws into affect, and get America back on it's feet so what do you think?

  1. I understand your anger and frustration.  The adults of the country are having same frustrations as well.

Unfortunately - fixing these problems will not be easy.  Take the teen pregnancy rates, sexual activity rates and the diseases that follow those who are contributing to the high rates.  These are not things that the government can change - the people must change on a grass roots level as it is cultural in nature.

Kids have received the message since somewhere in the 80s that it is ok to be promiscuous - and it is perfectly fine to have children with "unknown" as a father on a birth certificate.

This is very low class thinking - disrespectful to society who must foot the bill, disrespectful to self, and most certainly disrespectful to a child who is being cheated out his/her own lineage on the side of the father.

It is also cheating young men out of the opportunity to raise their own children, instead of being treated as a monthly check for a child born because the mother refused to take birth control.

Exactly how will over throwing a government exact the necessary social changes in this instance?  How will burning our sacred historical documents, and rewriting them with fictious data help the kids of today decide to stay celibate until at least reaching maturity?

Our problems our many - and they are problems not easily overcome.  Being an advocate for social change in your world - as in your high school, church or other organization (seek parental permission first) is better idea.

Social change for the betterment for all is done one person at a time....  It is a matter of applying peer pressure in a positive manner instead of a negative manner.

  2. Good luck with that.

  3. I like your research and your facts. But, your solution is very weak and has no serious depth. You had me going until the last paragraph which weakened your entire statement.

  4. i agree completely! but the only way we're ever gonna change is if everyone who thinks this way gets together and and tries to make a difference together. if you really want to make a change, choose one thing you want to change, and get a group of people and protest. once bush is gone, hopefully our new president will at least attempt to rebuild america, but at this point it's going to take a lot of effort and a lot of motivated people.

  5. Wow, you really have a lot of interesting ideas for someone so young.

I do believe your path is already layed out for you. You're already a social activist. I think you'll either go into law or politics. Often lawyers do eventually become politicians. Or perhaps a political analyst.

You've got a good head on your shoulders, and a very bright future!

  6. i agree

  7. good luck with that :)

  8. I don't see why being dependent on foreign oil is a problem.  Importing oil rather than refining it ourselves raises the standard of living for the United States because foreign countries have specialized their industry to refine oil more efficiently.

The dollar decreasing in value is just a natural flux in the marketplace.  As Americans, we import more than any other country, and this is a natural side effect of doing so.  As our dollar declines, domestic goods will look more enticing to our population and to other foreign nations.  This, in effect, should will stabilize the dollar as market forces should.

The nature of government is to expand, as has been its current trend.  Thomas Jefferson, the 3rd President of the United States, believed that a violent war would be necessary every so often to put the Government back in its place, so to speak.  The real problem with the government is that the population has grown apathetic toward it, so we can really only blame ourselves for the way the government has turned out.  The power of democracy can only be fully utilized when we vote.  You should try to help by raising awareness for the things that you believe in.

Social problems such as teen pregnancy and STD's are not problems of the government.  Those are things that must be taken care of by parents or other personal authority figures.

As far as burning historical documents, why would this help your argument?  You want stronger and more oppressive laws, yet you believe in some sort of government conspiracy that is withholding new disease-curing drugs?  This would only amplify the problem; the government would hide even more things from you.

If you want to change America, why not try starting a grass roots movement or studying politics, so you can one day run for office and sow the seeds of change yourself?

  9. Well, let's see.

Most of the problems you cite are caused by individuals.  It is individuals who decide to live materialistic, greedy lives.  It is individuals who overeat.  It is individuals who make buying decisions.  It is individuals who decide to become sexually active.  it is individuals who use the media.

I would suggest that you would do better to look at your make changes in your own life, and be a role model to others, rather than by trying to force change on people who don't want change.  After all, what is to stop those who disagree with you from overthrowing YOUR new government?

  10. agreed. lol. u definately did research. im 15 myself and im sure i wouldnt be able to write something like that. anyways i agree with all those stuff you said. but how are u gonna do that?

  11. Well... I am going to build an army of robots and beat you to it.

I don't know what I will do once I have conquered America... but...

    I WIN!
