I have cheered for other teams since 2nd grade, and I'm on my highschool's team(we don't do competitions just football and basketball). I've never done any tumbling and right now im trying to work on my flexibility. Is it too late for me to start cheering competitively now?

  1. no. but most competitive teams require at least a backhand spring.

  2. not if you work real hard.

but first you have to get on a squad that competes.

im only in 8th grade and my squad competes and its just like any other routine really but you gotta work real hard and be good at cheerleading of course.....

  3. If you are thinking of All-Stars they often have teams for people with little or no tumbling. Check out your local gyms and see what they offer. Be sure to let mom and dad know what the financial and time commitment would be like.

In the meantime if you really want to be able to tumble, you can start working on drills at home and get into a class somewhere. http://search.yahoo.com/search;_ylt=A0ge...

    Good luck!
