The middle-order batsman of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/India-c750, Rohit Sharma, has said that he is satisfied with his index finger’s recovery and is enjoying his game while playing in the domestic circuit of India.
The 24-year-old http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Maharashtra-c811 batsman told the media reporters on Wednesday that he is 150 per cent fit and enjoying his batting, bowling and fielding.
"I'm 150 per cent fit now in terms of my batting, fielding and bowling,” said Sharma while talking to the media reporters on the eve of Mumbai's clash against defending champions http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Rajasthan-c837 here on Thursday.
"I'm very happy with my batting and with the way things are going. I'm enjoying all the aspects of my game. I'm just thinking about what's coming up next rather than thinking about the future," he added further.
Sharma, a prolific middle-order batsman of India, had picked up an injury on his index finger during India’s devastating, winless tour of http://www.senore.com/Cricket/England-c56013 this summer and was subsequently out of the last month's five-match home ODI series against England. During
the first One Day International of the five-match series, played at Chester-le-Street in September, Sharma was hit on the right index finger by a delivery from http://www.senore.com/Cricket/SCJ-Broad-c2465.
Due to the same finger injury, Sharma failed to make a cut for the ongoing Test series against http://www.senore.com/Cricket/West-Indies-c760.
However, the right-handed batsman who plays for http://www.senore.com/Cricket/Railways-c836, he stayed at the crease for nearly six hours to score a magnificent
175 to help the former seal a comprehensive 10-wicket win in the game. During his six-hour stay at the crease, Sharma faced nearly 300 balls, hitting twenty boundaries and a six.
“The only thing I wanted to test was the amount of balls I could play,” said the 24-year-old Maharashtra batter, adding “I batted for about 290 balls. I am really happy."
Sharma said that if the finger has not recovered completely, there are chances of it becoming sore after playing ten overs or so; hence, he wanted to bat for long to test his finger thoroughly.
