Okay so I've been looking at cars. Sedan-like type cars along with mini-SUVs.

Right now I'm favoring the VW jetta, it seems to fit me the best (but not perfect so i'm still looking)

My main problem when looking at the internet blogs and sites that list cars for tall people is that I am, as the saying goes, "all legs". So like headroom isn't much of a problem, its the legroom that I'm concerned about.

So any recommendations? Not a truck...my parents would never let me drive one.

Cars that = NO

Honda (don't fit in ANY, not even mini-suv)

Hyundai (don't fit in any)

Toyota/Scion (don't fit in toyota, scion crappy)

Chevy (just no)

And don't go saying Lamborghini....thanks for your help

  1. ok i had the same problem when i bought my car.... you should get a grand prix.... i'm 6'2 and it got a whole lot of legroom and ppl could sit behind me wit no problem....

  2. Isuzu Trooper. I had a friend who was 6'8" and that was the only thing that fit him well. I know you said no trucks but this thing was LARGE.

The Honda Pilot can also accommodate a larger individual and gets respectable gas mileage to boot. Again, I know you said no trucks but this is built on the Honda Odyssey platform and is an incredibly reliable car.

My father was not a particularly tall guy (6' in his heyday) but he sat with his legs fully extended, racecar driver style. He drove an E-class.

The only really tall people I know drove SUVs. I knew a guy who was about 6'3" and he drove a Toyota Highlander. It's built on a car platform and is considered a crossover.

Look for cars with bigger backseats because they'll typically allow you more room to move your seat back. I can't believe a Jetta fits but why not try the Passat?

  3. Definitely look into a Honda CRV. I own a 2007 as my first car and I'll have to say its sporty/fast and reliable thus far. My friend is well over 6ft and he fits right in there just fine.

Edit: Aww, sorry I overlooked that. Hm what about the Saturn Vue?

  4. omg... a scion would be a cool car for you and the xb have so much room in them. i'm 6'2" and i have a ford explorer, that has a lot of room maybe look at that.

  5. You should continue to look around but you will probably find your best fits in larger SUVs or large sedans like the Ford Crown Victoria where the seats are up off the floor more than in smaller cars.
