I am 16 years old, and as far as exercise goes, I dance 3 nights a week for hours on end. I have done this for years and years and I am pretty physically fit. However, it seems to me I'm almost too thin... I'm 5'7" and weigh 110 lbs. I don't eat the healthiest of food... I love junk food. No matter what I eat, I don't gain weight. I have been thin all my life, but am I healthy?

  1. I think that your low-weight could be something genetic and/or something that is also affected by youre dance routine. i think that you are slightly underweight. But really think about: are you getting all of the food pyramid daily serving suggestions in? The healthiest way to gain weight is to eat healthy!

    goodluck!

make sure you intake 2500 calories a day!

  2. You're just like me!

don't eat junk food all the time.

    i think you're healthy tho.

  3. yessssssss

  4. Good grief.  No one here can tell if you are healthy.  You could have any number of fatal medical problems.  Go see your doctor.

  5. Even if your skinny, that doesn't mean your healthy. You should cut down on the junk foods. Like... that should be your last resort for sources of food.

Eat fruits for snacks, and vegetables. If you have trouble gaining weight, drink whey protein shakes.

I think for your height at least another good 10 pounds would be healthy.

  6. Well from what you told, I would say your fit, but necessarily healthy. Weighing 110 pounds and being 5'7 is really good(yet muscle weighs more than fat) but If you mostly eat junk food, then no. But it depends what kind of junk you eat.
