  1. Sounds like you're afraid to choose or make a compromise.  Create a single focus (maybe it will combine 2 or all of your goals) and set smaller goals that all work towards that one goal.

Example:  Maybe what you learn in math and physics will help you in writing fantasy.  Maybe thinking about the (writing) possibilities of a math or physics idea/concept will make it more interesting. etc.  Find how these things relate. There's even a subject called something like "the physics of sound/acoustics".

Most importantly, you have to play life intelligently/logically.  and you cant be afraid of being who you are and becoming who you want to be (so long as it doesnt hurt anyone).  You have to go for it.

  2. I work with high school students in a college preparatory program that is separate from your typical high school guidance counselor.  Instead of stressing yourself out, might I suggestion allowing yourself time get through your classes, find time to research your top 3-5 career choices, and then taking some on-line career and/or interest inventories.

Also don't forget to chill out and enjoy being a high school student.

    Dr. David M. Burns:

Aim for success, not perfection. Never give up your right to be wrong, because then you will lose the ability to learn new things and move forward with your life.

  3. talk to a councilor and/or a psychologist, thats all I could think of.

  4. My idea is that you should pursue the math and physics study-how lucky you are to have this talent-this will assure you of an income whilst you pursue the others as a hobby which may become profitable in future.

You can sing in choirs, operettas etc for leisure-imagine how much more remote the possiblility of doing this professionally?

As for writing fantasy-unless you are lucky enough to win a grant and publish a book a year or more, it would perhaps be a better idea to write for leisure and enter competitions etc.

    good luck to you....
