I'm 16 and I'm really interested in starting my own tshirt company??

It doesn't have to happen now, but after I graduate from highschool or before that would be a dream come true. I really have no money. All I have is some designs in mind. Please don't crush my dream and tell me I'm hopeless. I'm always creating new characters and would love to have them on tshirts.

My question is, where do you start? Is there an easy way to start for someone in highschool? Any suggestions? And also, how can I get my designs onto the tshirts?

  1. 1) No money = have the t-shirt done by someone else

    2) A t-shirt company is defined as ....?

    a) most likely: silk screened, printed a design on  pre-made t-shirts

    b) doubtful that you want to start it from the scratch, i.e. design + have it made the cut/fit you like; since this route demands $$$ (to pay for folks to do it, or for you to buy fabrics + machines + +)

So answer it to yourself, and start with the design + mocked up products ==> take great digital pics. (ask a friend or 3 who has/have great camera) and work on a 'flier" as well as a website (ask someone who knows WELL about website, choose the ZERO cost for now, just your *) company name *) email address *) separate ring tone for biz cell phone *) pics of the products *) counter on "hits" etc.

@ as early as while in HS, do 3 - 4 dozen of your special products, Mom will finance if you offered her 1/3 of the cut etc.

on a certain event: a card table + 1 folding chair + one bed sheet = your business display room

    etc.

contact me via email for further details, if this is what you are looking for.
