I'm 16 and i want to be a vet when i grow up. Do you know any pet stores or pet clinics that will hire me?

I want to work somewhere with animals so i can have the experience. even if its just grooming or taking care of the animals. Or at a pet clinic i'm even willing to be a receptionist.

petsmart and petco are always hiring young people ..you might want to try there first because vet offices always ask for at least two years of experiance

Try calling clinics in your area and ask if they accept volunteers or job shadows.  Most clinics won't hire people under 18 due to injury liablilities.

I worked at Petco for 5 years and I LOVED it!!  I started when I was 16.  But if you want to become a vet, I would suggest working at a vet clinic.  You might have to start out doing kennel work(feeding, cleaning).  But if you want to learn a lot about animals behaviors and care I would work at Petco then move to a vet clinic, you will learn so much!

Since you are 16 I think you are old enough to work anywhere you want.I want to be a vet too!Good luck with your job just make sure they now that you want a solid job not just voluteering.
