Her parents are trying to not allow me to see her even though she is the bearer of my child. If anyone has any knowledge of if thats legal or not i'd really appreciate it.

  1. They are blocking you from your child.

Unless you are a mental case, dangerous to your girlfriend and the unborn child, that is not allowed.

  2. vege-girl has it right.  Further, if her parents try to block you from your child, then would have to pay for paternity tests to prove you are NOT the father.  Further, they can not request any kind of support from you if they insist you are nothe father.  Its a legal thing, and you would be well-advised to get an attorney that specializes in family law.  godo luck, and thank you for standing up and being responsible for you baby.

  3. The law will be on the parents' side in this. Did you think impregnating the daughter gave you power over the parents? It doesn't. They still have absolute authority over their property and their minor children.

Once you have established paternity after the child is born, you will have the right to visitation (as well as the responsibility of child support). But even then, the parents cannot be forced to allow visitation on their property.

The advice about getting your parents involved is probably the best advice on this page.

  4. No, you are over the age of parental consent.

  5. Vege girl is right, as their minor child, they have a right and duty to protect her.  And that means keeping you away.  You do not have a right to her, only the baby if it is yours.  You might be able to get medical info on how the fetus is doing, once you establish you are the father.  Then once the baby is born you will be entitled to have visitation rights, along with making support payments, not as a 16yr old in school, but as soon as you become an adult or out of school, you will be required to support the child, for the next 18 yrs., 24 yrs if the child goes to college.  Hope the few minutes of fun was worth it.

I see everyone who is telling you the truth is getting thumbs down, truth hurts, just because you don't like it doesn't make it not true.

  6. yes that is legal (in every state). Once the baby is born you can establish your paternal rights.

why dont you ask your parents to help you out? You can go over to her house with your parents and have a talk to sort things out. They are probably just pissed right now and its pretty understandable, maybe they just need some time.

    good luck.
