  1. I'm in Munich now and it's quite nice here!  There are many bars and discos.  You will have no problem getting into the bars and such, seeing as the age to buy beer (not hard liquor) is 16.

But also Berlin it rather nice.  I'd say either one would be fun for you!

  2. Heidelberg has a great nightlife geared towards the younger crew from the University here

  3. Generally speaking, any town with a university will be quite fine. Now I'd sure recommend Berlin because it's a really vibrant big city; but if you want something more "rural", you also should consider Nuremberg, Regensburg, Tübingen, or maybe even Freiburg. To cut it short, wherever there are students, there's also young night life. (I haven't been to the east too long, but I've also heard people recommend Dresden very much. Can't tell from experience however.)

  4. Everyone goes to Berlin but other alternatives are Hamburg or Cologne. St. Pauli in Hamburg is the nightlife suburb and Cologne centre is a city of it`s own that never sleeps.

  5. Berlin,Cologne,Stuttgart,Munich,Hamburg

  6. well i'm from hamburg and i can say this is a really cool city to be! the Kiez, St.Pauli or the Schanze are nice places to go... i see a different problem: you are 16 yrs old!? you're not allowed to drink anythink harder than beer or wine and in some clubs people go around at midnight and pick out the underaged kids because you're too young (btw this can happen in every city!) with 16 yrs you can´t do much late-night-partying....

  7. any city with a reasonable population will have plenty of nightlife activities.  the best obviously are Berlin and munich.  but even little towns have loads of bars and diskos.  there always other parties and things going on as well no matter where you are.

but for a better experience i would recommend a small town.  i did it and it was a lot of fun.  i think it is better to see more traditional things and not crowded bigger towns that have more western influence and are tourist oriented.  have fun on your trip!

  8. Think it's Berlin...all the young people here in Germany like to go to Berlin!;-)
