A few days later, I noticed slight blood spotting in the morning. I thought I had gotten my period, when I checked later on I was no longer bleeding. Since then I have not had any spotting at all. It was a dark red colour, but thats usually the colour of my period. Could this have been implantation bleeding?

it's best to find out now so, yeah, go get a pregnancy test

You didn't mention whether you used protection or not. This would help to answer your questions.  If you didn't protect yourself, of course there is a greater chance that you are pregnant.  The only true way to tell however is to take a pregancy test.  Good luck!
