I'm 17 and 4'10" am I considered a dwarf?

I just wanted to know??According to what I've read on the internet the average dwarf adult is 4'10" But I'm only 17.Then again I'm probably done grow though because I've not grown for like 3 or 4 years.So am I considered a dwarf then??

If you consult with your doctor and charts on being a "dwarf" and if it is a medical term on your size then yes. You can still grow if you don't smoke anything or drink coffee. Also don't get it confused with dwarfism which is something different. Yeah it's a short person but there are a lot of differences from dwarfism and just a short person.

No. I'm 4'10 too and I'm 25. I was picked on all the time growing up for being short, but now men tell me all the time they like small/petite woman. When I was a child I worried about finding a husband because of my height but now I love it. My husband is 6'1 and he tells me all the time he likes to pick me up. The only downfall is it's easier to look fat. I weigh 135 lbs which translate to 200 lbs for the average height woman so dont gain too much weight. Also think of all the small celebrities out there. Eva Longoria, Lil Kim. Trust me you'll grow to love it.

Your best bet would be to ask your doctor, because they are the only ones that could classify you as a legal dwarf (for scholarships and what not). And to the last person that answered 'midget' isn't a politically correct term, its better to say dwarf.
