  1. I am 33 years old and I have worn contacts since I was 15 years old. My overall experience has been very good. I wear soft contacts and they are very comfortable but my eyes do get dry at times. Otherwise I normally can't tell they are there except for being able to see. Before you get contacts there are a few things to ask yourself, such as can you afford the cost of buying once a year or more, are you willing to see your eye doctor more frequently? They are not too hard to put in and take out. It does require some patience and practice. You will still need to have your glasses as back up. If you really think you want to try contacts, my best advice is to discuss it with your eye care professional, get a trial pair and see how you do!

  2. I wear Night and Days, leave them in for 30 days and toss them. (you can even sleep in them)

I have allergies and chronic sinus problems and take meds. for them, sometimes that makes them feel dry and "sandy." I take them out when I mow the lawn and when they irritate me and clean them...

    I love them!

Keep them clean and they shouldn't bother you. It takes getting used to having them in your eyes and putting them in. Hurts when you get something on them, just take it out, clean it and replace it...

I do see so much clearer with them, might need some cool shades!

  3. i wear contacts and i love them! they dont hurt at all and are oh so convenient! the hardest part is learning to put em in and once you do, you're good to go! taking em out is really easy..I have colored contact so people are always complimenting me on my hazel colored eyes..which is naturally a boring light brown but shh dont tell anyone and ROCK THOSE CONTACTS!!

  4. Neither glasses nor contacts cause deterioration in vision. Contact lenses are painless, in fact you are unaware of the lens once it is inserted.

  5. It varies from person to person..some people can never wear the things, others can not work out what the problem could be. Nowadays we have a variety of lenses to try, the soft ones being best..and you can start by using the disposable ones for a month. this is the cheapest way to find out if you like the lenses and the easiest way to be sure that they are clean every day. Do not use them in any other way than prescribed and do not clean them with tap water under any circumstances.

  6. i think it rather depends on your eye condition, your contacts, your habits, and your hygiene.

im 15 and ive been wearing it for like 8 months now, and the hardest part was the first time im putting them in. it took me an hour, but only 10 minutes for my friend.

once u get used to it, u'll be ok.

sometimes it hurts, but most of the time it works fine.

but it's all worth it, because i dont look dorky anymore :) and it boosts my confidence

and maybe u should do the same too.

if u dont wanna take the risk, u can always go to lasik, but it's costy.

and if u really are getting contacts, u have to follow the precautions carefully.

  7. hey! I'm 14 and i've just got contacts after wearing glasses for about 6 years. When my optician first put them in, they were quite uncomfortable but after about 20 mins they were fine. i would deffo recommend them - they are so much easier and better than glasses. Make sure you don't order them off the net - some can harmful to your eyes. Go to your opticians and talk to him/her.

    Good luck

  8. they just take getting use to.  the hardest part i had was putting my finger in my eye.

  9. Stick anything in your eye and it's going to take a while to get used to but they shouldn't hurt, they will probably be a bit uncomfortable for a while....try to remember that they don't suit everyone tho...good luck x x

  10. some do and some dont

  11. If I were in your position again, I would be saving up for laser eye surgery. Can't be bothered now as I've had contacts + glasses for decades and they're fine, though I've had a few problems from time to time over the years. Just think of all the money I'd have saved if laser surgery had existed then!!
